Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The walls of my home used to feel like a safe space. Now they press in, a constant symbol of my confined existence. Days run into each other, marked only by the chime of the clock and the gnawing emptiness in my chest. Every noise from outside is a cruel reminder of the world beyond.
I drift through these familiar rooms, yearning for some glimpse of escape. The rays that once streamed across my floor now seem distant, and the quiet is heavy.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we knew it has drastically shifted. The world outside our doors is a blur of its former glory. We are now confined within the walls of our homes, forced to conform to a new normal. The days run together, marked by the pattern of online meetings, consuming media, and baking. We yearn for the simple pleasures that were once granted for granted: a stroll in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a chat without a screen amidst us.
This new world has brought challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected capacities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more resourceful, and more thankful for the mundane things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are near.
Freedom's Six-Foot Line
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels insurmountable. You desire freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a stark reality that you're confined.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a spark of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be released. That day might seem impossible, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Freedom's Imprisonment
The allure of freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can too lead to imprisonment. This manifests when the very notion for freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a tool for control and suppression.
True freedom requires not only the absence for external constraints but also the cultivation of internal resilience. When this inner foundation is lacking, even in a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the boundaries of their own thoughts.
Finally, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the constraints that restrict our potential, both externally and internally.
